“ would love to love this place- the location is amazing and i live locally.. but there are some weird rules and often i have found the service rude so unfortunately i can’t recommend it. for starters, they close between 3-5. this seems like a very bad business decision as this is precisely the time boats are returning from private charters. to clarify, the restaurant downstairs is open 12-3pm for lunch. then the upstairs terrace doesn’t open until 5. so that leave prime, post-boat-day/sunset timeslot ..i would love to be able to suggest to the clients of my travel agency that they visit amare for a sunset drink upon arrival. so i think they are missing out. once we were already in the restaurant downstairs at 3pm having arrived at 2.30pm.. we planned to stay until sunset and meet friends, but we gotnkicjed iut at 3pm. and were told we had to wait 2 hours. that was when we first learned of their frustrating horario. another rule which is annoying personally is that, although our small dog is permitted in the upstairs terrace, the rule is that if you are accompanied by a pet, you are only permitted at the tables at the back of the restaurant, ie away from the view. the drinks here are fine. the food is extremely average. come for a drink 5 onwards and dont bring your pet .. arrive patient.. service is also slow. the view is very nice and the vibe is chill. ”
“ This place should be the most popular outdoor terrace in Cartagena due to its harbor terrace with great bay views. Instead it has deteriorated since the last time I came here with fewer customers. Hamburger used to come with onion rings. This is no longer an option! Its cottage fries or nothing. Come on Mabare! ”
“ On a large rooftop deck, I was denied access with my service dog. He really helps. Take care of me and makes visits much more comfortable for me. This place didn't care, made us sit in a corner bar alone where we received terrible service. ”
